Beck was the president of Beck Family Funeral Homes & Crematory and spent many years serving families throughout York and Adams counties. His death has brought particular sadness to the same communities he had spent years helping through some of their most difficult moments.

Born in Philadelphia on December 12, 1963, Christopher Beck developed a lifelong ambition to become a funeral director and eventually own and operate his own funeral home. That dream became reality in 2009 when he purchased the former Robert E. Irwin Funeral Home in Spring Grove.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, Pennsylvania.

A second visitation will take place on Monday, August 31, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Road, York, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Kyle Sahd, with several priests serving as concelebrants. Interment will be private.

The services will be conducted by Chris’s sons, Nicholas C. Beck and Vincent C. Beck.

A Lasting Legacy in Spring Grove

Christopher M. Beck spent much of his adult life helping other families say goodbye to people they loved.

Now, his own family and the communities he served are saying goodbye to him.
